Description of 8-C Almshouse Hill Formerly Delamore Hill
1. This recalls how the lower floor of the old almshouse was used as a lights factory during his youth and the upper floor was used as a boys' club and scout hut around the time of World War I.
2. A photo of some of the lights when the Venetian Light Works was in operation plus a view of site of the almshouse in 2000 thirty three years after its demolition.
