Section 6 - C Bramham House Freely Lane

Description of 6-C The Children's Home & Potted History of Bramham House 1968-74

1. Five photographs taken outside the House with some of the children while the Children's Home was being administered by Mr. & Mrs. Hale.

2. Five photos showing some of the children (including the Humble family and the Drury family) with the "Aunties" and a shot of the minibus donated to the Children's Home by Pontefract Round Table.

3. - 6. This four page article written by Mr. and Mrs. Hale describes life in the Home during their six years of administration. The home was set up to be a family group home for neglected and homeless children. The staffing, the origins of the children and some of the ways their leisure hours were spent are discussed. A photo of the house as it appeared in 2000 is included. The final page gives details of the high quality structure of the building.
